Personal Information

Kenneth Parker was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on August 29, 1965.  He is married to Mary Haick Parker and has two daughters, Mary Cosby and Elizabeth Young.  He graduated from Woodland Hills Baptist Academy in 1983, and went on to graduate from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy in 1987.  He received his Certified Public Accountant Certificate in September of 1990.  At this point he became partners with his father, Robert D. Parker and started Parker and Associates, CPA's.

Professional Development

Involved in all aspects of services offered by Parker and Associates, CPA's.  Maintains emphasis on small closely held businesses.  Performs numerous audits of companies, including HUD audits, Not for Profit Audits, and Corporate Business Audits for Construction and Retail Businesses.  Prepared various business valuations and been an expert witness in numerous litigation.  Maintains at a minimum of 40 hours per year of continuing education requirements in order to stay licensed with the MS CPA Society.  Established and maintain the system of Quality Control in place at Parker and Associates, CPA's in order to have a Peer Review preformed every three years.   We have received an unqualified opinion in all Review's performed on our office.

Member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1990 to present.                  Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants from 1990 to present.                   Chairman of the Membership Committee of MS Society of Certified Public Accountants.                  Past Lieutenant Governor of the MS TN LA District of Kiwanis International  Division 5.                  Past President and current Secretary Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Jackson.                             Member of the Clinton and Madison County Chamber's of Commerce.                                            Founder and Past Treasurer of Jerry Clower Fundraiser for UMC Hospital.                                      Past Chairman and Major Sponsor Organizer for UMC Candlelighters Art Auction.                           Serve on Troop Committee for Boy Scouts Troop 1, Saint James.                                                  Director and Treasurer for the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi.                                                 Past Board Member and Treasurer of Jackson Friends of City Animal Shelter.                                  Actively involved in Saint Andrews Episcopal Cathedral, where serve on Finance Committee,   Sunday  School Teacher, Past Head Usher, Habitat for Humanity Coordinator, EYC Advisor,  Cooking           Team, and other.                                                                                                                   Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Jackson, MS, serve on Church Relations Committee.              Involved with Habitat for Humanity in Honduras, made mission trip to build houses.
